"Eddy" is a fluid garden sculpture formed from sheet aluminum, designed to capture the quiet motion of a swirling current. Overlapping wave forms curl around a central circular shape, evoking the graceful spin of water caught in motion. Along one arc of the circle, a semi-ring of delicate perforations suggests sea foam rising as the eddy turns—light, airy, and full of texture.
But look again, and a new image may emerge. The sweeping curves and open forms can also suggest the shape of a bird in motion—wings outstretched, caught mid-glide above the sea. In this way, "Eddy" balances between earth, water, and sky, inviting each viewer to find their own meaning in its form.
